Hello all!
A Happy Thanksgiving wish to everyone! Here at McMurdo Station we have the Turkey Feast on Saturday, since that give most folks a 2 day weekend (the average work week here at McMurdo is 6 days).
Today I got to enjoy my first snow flurry in the Antarctic. Nothing super special, but it was neat to see it happen. There was lots of blowing snow over the ice shelf today, too, canceling many flights for the second or third day in a row. Lots of clouds, mostly lenticular over the Trans Antarctics and Mt. Discovery.
Tonight I'm off to "Walking" school, if it is held. You can't go off the station without having had this course. It is important, but you need to relearn a few things here, as this isn't like life back home.
