Hello everyone,

Just a quick report to everyone - it is snowing here. Nothing heavy, but enough to reduce the visibility, and cancel flights. The snow is light - and hardly collects here, but does reduce the visibility. In McMurdo, they have 3 conditions for weather, they are:

Condition III - Anything better than condition II

Condition II - Any of the following:

- Wind Speeds of 48 to 55 knots
- Visibility less than 1/4 mile, but greater than 100 feet
- Wind chill between -75 F and -100 F

Condition I - Any of the following:

- Wind Speeds greater than 55 knots
- Visibility less than 100 feet
- Wind chill below -100 F

Not often does it get to Conition II or I in the "summer" months here, but it can happen.

Matthew
